Russell Brand gives Katy Perry the house, gets his 'Rock' on
Russell Brand, he of the accent, rambling intellect and recovering-addict zen, knows a thing or two about the ebb and flow of the universe.
Take Tuesday for example, a day when Brand formally gave up his luxurious Los Angeles pad to former spouse Katy Perry but also starred in an updated trailer for the increasingly promising movie musical "Rock of Ages."
Brand indeed surrendered his rights to the $6.5-million space he and Perry shared during their union. His evacuation is reportedly amicable, as the seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom pile of bricks, purchased last June, was awarded to Perry in their divorce negotiations.
He's not left lonely, however, on the big screen. The world got a closer look at Brand and the massive ensemble of "Rock of Ages" in a second trailer featuring sass and songs from the likes of Tom Cruise, Mary J Blige, Alec Baldwin and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Check out Brand in action as the narrator-type character who oversees the jukebox-rock debauchery and star-studded cast.
