Heidi Klum filed for divorce from Seal on Friday in L.A., making official what we knew was coming since they announced their separation back in January.
It’s all pretty standard stuff, according to various reports, with Klum citing ‘irreconcilable differences,’ seeking joint legal and primary physical custody of their four children, and asking for her legal name to be changed back from Heidi Samuel — Henry Samuel being Seal’s legal name.
According to TMZ, which first reported the news, the couple signed a post-nuptial agreement separating assets, so there’s no community-property split to be hashed out.
A couple of days after the couple said they were dunzo, when both were still wearing their wedding bands, Seal kept alive the idea of reconciliation. ‘Is it irreparable?,’ he told Piers Morgan on CNN. ‘You can never say never. The thing I love most about us is that we are a team ... that won’t change, whether we get back together or not.’
Alas, it’s looking like ‘not.’
