Julianna Margulies pleased she didn’t prep a SAG Awards speech

Is Julianna Margulies getting a little too relaxed these days? She was, after all, actually nominated for female actor in a drama series for her work on ‘The Good Wife.’

‘This year I’m very relaxed because there’s no chance that I’m winning, so I didn’t have to prepare a speech, and I’m so happy to be here and just see my friends.’

(Also nominated in the category were Kathy Bates, Glenn Close and Kyra Sedgwick, plus Jessica Lange, who took home a Golden Globe Award two weeks ago for her work in ‘American Horror Story.’)

An added bonus in the middle of the lengthy award season? ‘It’s a short awards show, so we can just enjoy it ... without lingering.’

And then cap it off with a glass of Champagne.
