Mario Lopez, Courtney Mazza get engaged in Mexico

Mario Lopez and Courtney Mazza are finally making it official: The two got engaged in Ixtapa, Mexico, over the New Year’s Eve holiday.

‘We took a walk alone as the sun was setting,’ Lopez told Us Weekly. ‘I told Courtney that I wanted the mother of my children to have their last name.’

Actor and TV host Lopez, 38, and dancer Mazza, 28, welcomed baby Gia Francesca Lopez in September 2010.

‘She was silent at first from shock,’ Lopez said of his fiancée, ‘then she leaped for joy and did a little jeté!’

Hey, we’d do a jeté too if ... wait a second ... mother of his children, plural? Is there something going on we don’t now about, Mario?

At any rate, what we do know is that the two are likely to tie the knot in Mexico later this year.

Lopez was previously married to ‘Doritos girl’ Ali Landry, whom he’d dated for years, but that coupling was annulled after two weeks. Landry reportedly had found ‘really strong evidence’ that he’d been unfaithful.
