At George Clooney’s luxurious Lake Como spread in Italy, we’d imagine house rules like removing shoes before entering, rising earlier than the host and mandatory consumption of limoncello. Turns out all you have to do is get naked.

Skinny dipping ‘is a tradition at my house!’ Clooney revealed to Us magazine at Wednesday’s New York premiere of ‘The Ides of March.’

‘It’s funny. Some people skinny-dip, but I always go upstairs and put a suit on and then I jump in the lake,’ he said.

We’ll suspend our disbelief on that last bit, but just think of all the famous folks who have donned their birthday suits to swim in Clooney’s neighborhood lake. Or don’t, because Georgie was kind enough to take the guesswork out of methods he employs to get pals to disrobe.

‘Let me tell you. First I got Walter Cronkite to jump in. Then I got David Gergen to jump in. And I used Walter Cronkite to get Gergen to jump in. And I used Marisa [Tomei] and Evan [Rachel Wood] in the lake to get Charlie Rose to jump in,’ he said.

Warning: Be selective in perusing those mental images. We certainly were.
