January Jones is coming back to work on AMC’s ‘Mad Men’ soon, and she’s got the full support of her show when she returns with a new role: motherhood.

Jones delivered a baby boy, Xander Dane, on Sept. 13, which would likely explain her absence from Sunday’s Primetime Emmy Awards the night the show was named outstanding drama series yet again

Creator Matthew Weiner told us he expects the former Betty Draper, now TV-remarried as Betty Francis, back to the set ‘in a month or so. She worked up until the very end, and we’ll get her back as soon as we can.’ Though the series is set in the 1960s, Weiner and his team are more than ready to accommodate Jones in the 2010s as she learns to juggle acting and being a first-time mom.

‘We’ll find a way for her to be the most modern mommy in the world while playing one of the most primitive on TV,’ he said.

While Jones is on diaper duty, costars including Jon Hamm, Christina Hendricks and Elizabeth Moss are helping Weiner support the Rape Treatment Center at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center, as the lot have agreed to host an upcoming fundraiser.
