Megan Fox is having her Marilyn Monroe tattoo removed, reflecting a newfound desire to attract less Hollywood turbulence and more positive industry vibes.

The ink, on her right forearm, was a large sketch of Monroe’s face and signature coif. But step-by-step, Fox is taking it off.

‘I’m removing it,’ Fox gabbed to Italy’s Amica magazine. ‘It is a negative character, as she suffered from personality disorders and was bipolar. I do not want to attract this kind of negative energy in my life.’

So why’d she sit through the painstaking process in the first place?

‘It warns me not to let myself be treated so badly by the film industry so that it breaks me down,’ the actress once said of the Marilyn tribute, according to E! News.

After a disastrous exit from Michael Bay’s ‘Transformers’ franchise, Fox has been slowly rebuilding her brand (which includes awesomely outspoken interviews), marrying actor Brian Austin Green and landing a supporting role in Judd Apatow’s latest comedy.

Don’t feel that bad for Miss Monroe, either. While she’s fading away on Fox’s arm, she’ll be portrayed on the big screen again this year by Michelle Williams in ‘My Week With Marilyn.’
