Maria Shriver support request challenged by Arnold Schwarzenegger

It was Maria Shriver who filed for divorce from Arnold Schwarzenegger going into 4th of July weekend, and now he has responded -- indicating in a form response filed this week that he’d rather not pay spousal support or shoulder 100% of the divorce-related attorney and legal fees.

Wait, wasn’t he the one who admitted fathering a child out of wedlock with a longtime member of their household staff? True, but the move -- somewhat unusual, according to divorce attorneys who spoke to the Los Angeles Times -- might hint at the magnitude of the community-property split.

‘His position is probably that she’s going to have enough money that she won’t need the support,’ Santa Monica divorce attorney Lynn Soodik said. ‘Either that, or he’s being really aggressive.’
