Halle Berry stalker suspect arrested after third alleged trespass in three days

A man accused of stalking Halle Berry was arrested outside her West Hollywood home late Monday night after allegedly scaling a concrete fence to access the property for the third time in three days.

Richard A. Franco of Los Angeles was arrested on suspicion of felony stalking, according to L.A. Now. Law enforcement sources said Franco was cooperative after being confronted by security guards, who then called police. The incident was reportedly caught on security cameras.

Los Angeles police had been to Berry’s home on Saturday and Sunday taking reports regarding of an unidentified man who had climbing over the property’s concrete wall, being spotted at one point by the Oscar-winning actress through her kitchen window.

Franco served time last month for battery and has a criminal record that includes felony car theft, felony vandalism, drug-use offenses and several offenses as a juvenile, TMZ reported.

His bail was set at $150,000. The unemployed, self-described community college student is 27, according to arrest records.

Berry got a three-year restraining order in 2005 against another man, Robert Sawyer, after he allegedly sent her threatening letters.
