As Emma Watson made it down the final ‘Harry Potter’ red carpet Monday night in New York City she paused to reflect on what she’d miss most about wielding Hermione Granger’s magic wand.

‘I’m going to miss, just, being her,’ the actress told 24 Frames, somewhat wistfully. ‘She’s such a wonderful character and geting to live in her world was -- amazing.’

Fans had camped out at Lincoln Center for as long as six days before the stars arrived, and Tom Felton surprised a few with a pizza delivery Sunday night. Do the math: six girls from from Florida, New Jersey and upstate New York were on site in Manhattan starting Wednesday, a day before London’s Trafalgar Square filled up for that world premiere -- where the NYCPotterheads they said they would have been if they’d been able to afford the trip.

‘I can’t wait to tell our kids we were part of this crazy fandom,’ Natasha Pereira, 21, told the Village Voice on Monday morning, before echoing a sentiment heard last week in London:

‘This is like the end of our childhood.’

The group ultimately found themselves among the lucky few granted up-close access to the red carpet, and tickets to the ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows -- Part 2’ screening.
