Nicolas Cage’s son Weston Cage hospitalized after fight in Hollywood

Weston Coppola Cage, son of actor Nicolas Cage, was hospitalized Tuesday afternoon after police responded to a fight he was allegedly involved in on the streets of Hollywood.

The 20-year-old was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center with unspecified injuries, a source told L.A. Now. His father joined him at the hospital.

Police responded to reports of a fight at the intersection of Ivar and Selma avenues, but no arrests were made and there was no criminal investigation underway, an Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman told E! News. Weston Cage may have argued with his trainer after being told he couldn’t eat something on the menu at the Farmer’s Kitchen restaurant, TMZ reported, with the spat turning physical and spilling out into the street.

When police arrived, they told Cage that if he didn’t get down on the ground they would tase him, TMZ said. The Eyes of Nocturn singer complied, with police reportedly handcuffing him and later strapping him to a gurney. A psychiatric hold was possible, though not confirmed, with restaurant workers telling the website Cage appeared to be under the influence of something.

A source also said Weston Cage had argued Tuesday morning with his new wife, Nikki Williams, 22. The couple were married April 24 in New Orleans after a one-week engagement.

A drunk Nicolas Cage was arrested in New Orleans in April on suspicion of domestic abuse and disturbing the peace. Prosecutors later declined to pursue charges, the actor’s attorney said in May.
