Ryan Dunn, featured player in MTV’s ‘Jackass’ franchise, has died in a car accident in Pennsylvania.

Dunn, 34, was driving his 2007 Porsche early Monday morning in West Goshen, Penn. He and a passenger, who has not yet been identified, were discovered dead in the woods off of U.S. 322. Details are few but gruesome.

The sportscar was ‘fully engulfed in flames’ when police arrived on the scene around 3 a.m., says TMZ, with officers on scene saying that ‘speed may have been a contributing factor to the accident.’

Several reports point to a tweet from Dunn hours before the crash linking to a photo on his Tumblr blog. The photo depicts Dunn drinking with two male pals.

‘We are devastated by the tragic loss of Ryan Dunn — a beloved member of the MTV family for more than a decade,’ said Van Toffler, of the network’s music and film group.

Dunn joined forces with Johnny Knoxville‘s crew in 2000. The channel notes other Hollywood appearances by Dunn, in Jessica Simpson‘s 2007 film ‘Blonde Ambition’ and on ‘Law & Order: SVU.’

Dunn’s last project, ‘Proving Ground,’ a G4 TV show where Ryan tested famous stunts from movies and television, premiered last week.
