Dakota Fanning graduated from high school on Monday in Los Angeles, reminding the world that despite her decade-plus of work on projects including ‘War of the Worlds,’ ‘The Runaways’ and ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ and ‘Breaking Dawn,’ she’s still only 17 years old.

Fanning and her fellow graduating Campbell Hall classmates donned bright blue caps and gowns -- the tassels were gold -- for commencement ceremonies held Monday at Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown L.A. Fanning’s family was on hand, according to People, including 13-year-old sister Elle Fanning, who’ll be seen soon in the film ‘Super 8.’

During the ‘normal high school experience’ she enjoyed from ninth grade through 12th at Campbell Hall, Dakota was named to the homecoming court two years in a row and made the varsity cheerleading squad.

Want to walk in Fanning’s footsteps? Campbell Hall is a private Episcopalian school in North Hollywood serving grades K through 12. Secondary-school tuition for the coming term is just north of $28,000 for the year, according to the school’s website.
