Mary Tyler Moore is ‘recovering nicely’ after a four-hour operation to remove a benign tumor -- a meningioma -- from the membrane that surrounds her brain, the actress’ rep said Friday.

‘The tumor was resected in its entirety and she will require no additional treatment,’ said the statement, which didn’t detail where or when the surgery occurred. Husband Robert Levine, a physician, was reportedly at her side.

Though the 74-year-old actress’ plan to have the elective surgery was made public Thursday, Moore and her neurologist had been monitoring the tumor for years. The costar of ‘The Dick Van Dyke’ show married Levine, her third husband, in 1983.

She recently did a guest spot on the sitcom ‘Hot in Cleveland,’ alongside former ‘Mary Tyler Moore Show’ costar Betty White.
