Details are scarce on his departure, but one report suggested neither Meloni or network NBC could agree on a new contract.

Talks between the two parties ‘broke down,’ this week, according to TV Line, and creator Dick Wolf is allegedly already shopping for a new star to play opposite Mariska Hargitay.

One name being kicked around is Jennifer Love Hewitt. Who do you think would be a good Meloni replacement? Tell us in comments.
