Drug, graffiti charges against Keith Richards’ daughter Theodora dropped

Graffiti and drug charges against rocker Keith Richards’ daughter Theodora Richards were dismissed Thursday in a plea deal with New York prosecutors.

Richards, 25, who was arrested March 1 on suspicion of tagging the side of a SoHo building and possessing marijuana and hydrocodone, was given two days of community service and told to visit a drug treatment program for a day, a deal she initially had turned down at the time of her arrest.

But prosecutors agreed to the deal laid out by a Manhattan Criminal Court judge because Richards had no previous criminal record and is currently in a drug treatment program. She must complete the community service by June 24, when she is due to appear again in court.

Police said they caught her with a paint marker writing ‘T [heart] A’ on a building that houses a convent in an upscale part of SoHo, where she lives. She had 8 1/2 hydrocodone pills without a prescription and a small amount of marijuana, court documents said. When she was arrested she did not enter a plea and was released without bail.

The model, who wore a finely striped shirt-dress and high heels to court, has appeared in ad campaigns for Burberry, Tommy Hilfiger and French Connection.

The Associated Press reported that she ‘smiled but stayed mum’ as she left court. Her attorney, Edward Hayes, said she was currently drug-free.

‘She’s as clean as the snow,’ he said.

Richards is one of two daughters of the Rolling Stones guitarist, 67, and model Patti Hansen. Keith Richards, who has two other children from a previous relationship, chronicled his bad-boy lifestyle in last year’s best-selling memoir ‘Life.’
