‘Scream 4’: Emma Roberts masters running in heels

Plenty has changed since ‘Scream’ first hit cineplexes 15 years ago — and unfortunately for the new ‘Scream 4’ actresses, Emma Roberts among them, stilettos now come with the territory.

Gone is the practical footwear of a simpler Woodsboro, where the likes of Neve Campbell and Rose McGowan got to run from a certain ghostface menace while wearing tennis shoes. The new gals are all about a heel.

‘I’m 5-foot-2 on a good day, and I think I was probably 5-foot-7 or 5-foot-9 in the film,’ star Emma Roberts told the Ministry about the tall shoes she had to rock while escaping that iconic masked killer.

‘On an apple crate,’ costar Hayden Panettiere joked.

‘I’m not very athletic, I have to say, I always did ‘girl sports,’’ Roberts said. But she hasn’t been scarred by Wes Craven‘s run-for-your-life shtick.

‘I’m definitely up for more physical roles [now],’ she said.
