Samantha Ronson in bicycle accident, posts photo of brutal bruises

This just in from the Celebrity DMV: Samantha Ronson posted a battered and bruised photo of herself on her blog after she crashed on her BMX bicycle Saturday while trying to avoid a car on her ride home.

‘Wear a helmet kids!!!’ she wrote, later tweeting, ‘Let this be a lesson... if you have a driver’s license you probably don’t need to be on a bmx bike.’

Ronson, 33, notorious as Lindsay Lohan’s on-and-off girlfriend, needed 12 stitches on her eyebrow, lip and forehead after the tumble, the New York Daily News reported.

The photo is pretty brutal, evoking an odd zombie-like vibe because the cuts and bruises are so dramatic. Still, Ronson had a quasi-positive, albeit self-deprecating, attitude about the injuries.

‘Just a little uglier than usual. Other than that, Vicodin is handling the rest,’ she added in response to reply from a follower, throwing a couple of smiley-face emoticons in for good measure.
