Pregnant Jewel doing ‘fine’ after Texas car crash

Jewel needn’t worry about any souls being saved -- the pregnant singer was in a pretty significant car wreck, but she and the baby she’s carrying are just fine.

The side of Jewel’s car was rammed by a volunteer-firefighter truck Friday morning in her part-time hometown of Stephenville, Texas.

Though the damage looked cringe-worthy -- TMZ has photos -- a rep for the four-time Grammy nominee said doctors gave the mother-to-be a thumbs-up after examining her.

‘The singer was taken to the hospital and current medical tests and current medical tests conducted indicate that she and the baby are doing fine,’ the rep said.

Jewel is married to rodeo cowboy Ty Murray.
