Valerie Bertinelli gets married to longtime beau Tom Vitale

Valerie Bertinelli and Tom Vitale, her boyfriend of more than six years, got married on New Year’s Day at their home in Malibu.

Guests included ‘One Day at a Time’ costars Mackenzie Phillips and Pat Harrington, who gave toasts, and ‘Hot in Cleveland’ costars Wendie Malick and Jane Leeves, Gossip Cop reports. Also at the event: Bertinelli’s ex-husband, Eddie Van Halen.

The actress and Jenny Craig spokeswoman got engaged early in 2010 during a vacation in Italy with her financial-planner beau, Vitale.

‘We’re so happy!’ Bertinelli told People exclusively.

‘We just understood each other completely,’ Vitale told the AARP magazine in May. ‘My family is her family. It wasn’t love at first sight; it was family at first sight.’

Bertinelli, 50, and Van Halen, whose divorce became final in 2007, have one son together, Wolfie, born in 1991, a decade after the couple married. Vitale, who met Bertinelli in 2004, has four children of his own; Van Halen remarried in 2009.
