Lindsay Lohan is a suspect in a misdemeanor battery investigation related to a Dec. 12 incident in which Riverside County sheriff’s deputies were called to the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, according to law enforcement.

A judge on Oct. 22 ordered the actress to stay at Betty Ford through Jan. 3. Lohan had voluntarily entered the facility in late September after failing several court-ordered drug tests that were part of a different probation. The judge ordered her supervised through Feb. 25, and warned that she’s looking at 180 days in jail if she screws up.

According to TMZ, which first reported the incident, Lohan and friends returned to the clinic about 10 minutes after curfew. Lohan is allegedly telling people close to her that a female staffer scolded her, then demanded she take a drug test, then ‘put her hands on me,’ TMZ reports.

‘Lindsay said, ‘Get your hands off me,’’ dad Michael Lohan told Radar Online, ‘and this woman didn’t even call Betty Ford administrators, she just called the police. Lindsay thinks this woman has had it out for her from the beginning and she’s looking for any reason to stop Lindsay from getting out.”

There were no arrests the night of Dec. 12. A sheriff’s deputy said detectives are continuing to look into the case -- the staffer wanted to pursue charges -- but no arrests have been made.

LiLo recently hit 100 days of sobriety, got her driver’s license reinstated and has been living with roommates in a sober house. All of this stems from two DUI arrests in 2007.
