If Gwyneth Paltrow actually wants to make a crossover to country music, she got Nashville’s highest blessing Wednesday evening by performing at the CMAs.

Belting out ‘Country Strong,’ the title track from her new drama costarring Leighton Meester and Tim McGraw, Paltrow got vocal backing from country legend Vince Gill and the approval of a fellow A-lister in the audience: Nicole Kidman.

Next to husband Keith Urban, the ‘Rabbit Hole’ star clapped enthusiastically for guitar-strumming Paltrow.
