As major proponent of gratuitous beefcake, imagine how thrilled the Ministry was to attend the GQ Men of the Year party Wednesday.

The annual fete celebrating outstanding males, hosted by Editor in Chief Jim Nelson at Chateau Marmont, commanded the attendance of cover stars including James Franco and Drake, as well as well-heeled cameos as varied as Jimmy Kimmel, Stanley Tucci, MikeThe SituationSorrentino and Taylor Lautner.

The Situation was also thrilled to be in such company, looking magazine worthy in a suit from Cohesive Apparel, beaming around the party while sipping a dirty Grey Goose martini.

‘It’s gonna get real crowded in, like, 10 minutes, so you gotta find a place to post up,’ the Sitch advised regarding seating. ‘Or else you got a situation.’

Duly noted. Though the ‘Jersey Shore’ star was the only one from his cast representing, it wasn’t a bad night for ‘The Twilight Saga’ kids.

In addition to Lautner, Kellan Lutz showed looking sharp in Simon Spurr, rocking his darker Cullen-clan hair. Anna Kendrick turned up (in a sweet black mini), as did Cam Gigandet, who played villain James in the first film.

‘True Blood’ werewolf Joe Manganiello showed off his fiancee, Audra Marie, and his lupine build in a Joseph Abboud suit, as did Channing Tatum, with wife Jenna Dewan.

Ladies making their mark included Katie Cassidy, ‘Brothers & Sisters’ star Cara Buono, Autumn Reeser, Rosario Dawson and ‘Glee’s’ Jayma Mays.

Speaking of ‘Glee,’ those guys made a strong showing, with Cory Monteith, Chord Overstreet, Chris Colfer, Kevin McHale and Mark Salling in attendance.

Aziz Ansari chatted with ‘The Social Network’ star Jesse Eisenberg on the famous outdoor patio, while inside Tucci made pals with Mark Ruffalo. David Spade and Kid Rock reprised a bit of their mugging from the CMT Awards after-party.

Eisenberg’s onscreen Facebook mate Andrew Garfield chatted up a redhead for most of the evening, amidst ‘White Collar’ cutie Matt Bomer, Jason Ritter, Colin Hanks, Bryan Cranston and Olivia Munn.

David Arquette popped in and showed photos of his various Lakers game outfits.

‘I’m into the fan participation,’ Arquette said, flashing a BlackBerry photo of himself in a purple Elvis jumpsuit.

Want more names? Ryan Kwanten, Rashida Jones, Mindy Kaling (we love her, but enough with the black dresses and metallic makeup), Zach Braff, David Spade, Richard Johnson, Jessica Chastain, Alison Brie, Adam Scott, Chris Hemsworth, Steve Buscemi and Anna Farris.
