The ‘Black Swan’ premiere juggernaut, which began at the opening of the Venice Film Festival in September and swung through L.A. in November, had its final act in New York on Tuesday ahead of the highly anticipated film’s Friday opening in theaters nationwide.

Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis and Winona Ryder of course made the scene, with cast member Ksenia Solo issuing a bright red challenge to those leading ladies in the fashion department.

Also spotted: Barbara Hershey and Vincent Cassel from the cast, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Thora Birch, Ellen Barkin, Alexa Ray Joel and a casual Chace Crawford. Click the pic of Solo at right for a gallery of red carpet photos.

Oh, good news -- Portman and Kunis are still friends after filming, despite director Darren Aronofsky‘s best efforts to spark a rivalry. ‘He’d say, ‘Oh, Mila is doing really well on her stuff. She’s so much better than you,’’ Portman told The Times recently. ‘Darren would tell us things about each other to try to make us jealous.’

Hmm. Perhaps they should all be jealous of Solo’s gown instead?
