Two of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s children got a sweet surprise on a movie-promoting trip to Paris -- the brood got a head start on Christmas shopping.

With girls Zahara and Shiloh, the couple hit up the swanky Bonpoint children’s boutique, where the littles ones scored gifts galore and even squeezed in some playtime.

‘Angelina was great,’ a shopper told People. ‘She’s patient, and a very hands-on mother, making certain everything fits.’

The ‘everything’ would be pants and sweaters, zebra-patterned boots, pajamas, stuffed animals and gloves. Little dynamo and adorably self-expressive Shiloh had her eye set on two particular items: two full knights’ costumes and a green plastic alligator.

The costumes consisted of tunics, shields and swords, and their purpose was explained by the little blond.

‘ ‘One is for me,’ she explained,’ the clerk told the mag. ‘ ‘The other is for my brother Pax.’ ‘

Shiloh claimed the alligator for younger brother Knox, who with twin sis Vivienne is the youngest addition to the family. Pitt got top marks as an observant dad, appearing ‘very agreeable, absolutely polite and excellent with the girls.’

After claiming their bounty, the girls played in a multi-level farmhouse while their parents looked on. The family is in the City of Light to promote ‘Megamind’ and ‘The Tourist.’
