A public funeral for actor Tony Curtis was held Monday in Las Vegas, with daughter Jamie Lee Curtis and Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger among those getting up to say a few words.

‘All of us got something from him. I, of course, got his desperate need for attention,’ his daughter joked to the 400 or so people in attendance.

Schwarzenegger recalled encouragement from the ‘Some Like It Hot’ actor about making it despite his thick accent and called Curtis someone who refused to feel old.

‘I mean, who has the guts to take off their clothes at the age of 80?’ Schwarzenegger said, recalling Curtis’ naked photo shoot in Vanity Fair in 2005.

His sixth wife, Jill Curtis, also spoke: ‘He was, as one fan put it, a once-in-a-lifetime man.’
