Lindsay Lohan is due in Beverly Hills Municipal Court at 8:30 a.m. Friday to answer for her recent probation violations -- and to prepare, she had to leave the Betty Ford Center in her rear-view mirror.

After a visit from mom Dina Lohan on Wednesday, the actress checked out of the Rancho Mirage facility Thursday evening, TMZ said.

After failing a couple of court-mandated drug tests, Lohan’s probation was revoked and she was initially sent to lockup on a no-bail hold Sept. 24 to await her Oct. 22 court date. An appeal later in the day saw her freed on a $300,000 bond. After weathering triple-digit heat that weekend to visit a center that helps the poor and homeless, the actress decided to play out the rest of her waiting game in voluntary rehab.

Had Lohan stayed behind bars while awaiting her court date, Judge Elden Fox might have sentenced her to time served, an attorney told L.A. Now after she made bail. Fox could still flex his judicial muscle now and send her back to jail for her probation violation.

An early release due to overcrowding would, however, probably keep any jail time she served rather brief.
