In a movie landscape heavily populated with dude flicks such as ‘The Town’ and ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps,’ Hollywood got a welcome shot of estrogen Wednesday night with the premiere of ‘You Again.’

Kristen Bell, Betty White, Jamie Lee Curtis, Sigourney Weaver, Odette Yustman and Victor Garber turned up at the El Capitan Theatre to premiere Andy Fickman‘s ‘revenge comedy,’ as Bell describes it. (Click on the photo of White’s fans, left, to launch a gallery of red carpet arrivals.)

‘It’s not a bunch of women moping about how they’re not married yet ... and that’s rarely done,’ Bell said of the flick, which stars Bell as an ugly duckling type who, once she turns into a swan, discovers her brother is engaged to her high school bully.

‘I went to an all-girls school,’ Weaver recalled, ‘and we all had our noses in books. Really, the one or two normal girls were the outcasts.’

Garber, also starring in ‘The Town’ this month, took himself out of the adolescent torture game entirely.

‘I left school at 16. I was so unhappy, I left and I certainly wasn’t going back,’ he said.

After enviably avoiding that rite of passage, Garber said he’s ‘had enough therapy to realize ... it’s not about proving anything. And I’m happy.’

Bell must have been equally happy -- the entire room at the ‘You Again’ after-party at the new Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood was applauding her carrying of the film. A lady not so interested in that these days is Curtis.

‘My strike zone is really fabulous middle-aged women,’ Curtis said. ‘They come with a husband and kids and peace ... we had a great time on this film. I work very little, and I’m really about doing what you’d expect from me.’

Curtis and Weaver, who play longtime frenemies reunited, both wore the same aquamarine David Meister dress to the premiere (a nod to one of the moments in the film).

Bell, in a lemon-colored lace getup, was well-supported by her fiance Dax Shepard. In the midst of her after-party interviews, her man marched up with a plate of nachos to nourish the actress.

Asked if she’d ever rise above it and invite an old bully to her upcoming wedding, Bell said, ‘I’m ready to not have my family at the wedding. Actually, we’re not having the wedding because of all the reasons in this movie.’

She jests. Bell’s onscreen counterpart Yustman has already tied the knot, however, to ‘Brothers and Sisters’ actor Dave Annable.

‘You look at Odette and you think she’s so gorgeous, she’s had an easy life and she must be a certain person,’ Bell said. ‘It’s the exact opposite. She’s so hilarious and real, she hits all of the right notes.’

Not so bad yourself, Bell.
