The latest in a stable of rumored celebrity guests to hit ‘Glee’ is Mrs. Goop herself, Gwyneth Paltrow.

The actress reportedly will be joining the show for a two-episode arc this season, playing a substitute teacher and possible love interest for Matthew Morrison, says E!

The musical move would make sense for Paltrow (whose episodes would air in November), as she has ‘Country Strong’ to promote -- the December film release that sees her playing an alcoholic country star. Paltrow also sings in the film, co-starring Tim McGraw and Leighton Meester.

For ‘Glee,’ Paltrow would portray a temporary moderator for the glee club when Morrison’s Will Schuester falls ill. She’ll also throw a wrench in the romance of Schuester and guidance counselor Emma Pillsbury, played by Jayma Mays.

E! says show creator Ryan Murphy wrote the part specifically for Paltrow, as the two ...

... are friends. The actress played a supporting role in Murphy’s 2006 big-screen directorial debut, ‘Running With Scissors.’ Are you excited to see Gwyneth’s singing chops on ‘Glee’? Tell us in comments below.
