Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth break up (because no one saw this coming)

Our lovely little Miley Cyrus is almost 18, and like so many her age, she’s having a bit of -- how did Britney Spears so eloquently put it? -- that “not a girl, not yet a woman” thing. Which means, of course, that the nice boy next door has got to go.

Gossip Cop reports exclusively that Miley and her dutiful, charming Aussie boyfriend-costar Liam Hemsworth have called it quits. So much for Liam the steadying influence: He kept her from a bit of over-exposure by getting her to delete her Twitter account. They took a bike ride together before the Oscars and ate at In-N-Out. And, judging from this picture, he even seemed to have the ability to ignore the paparazzi while she acknowledged them.

Maybe she needed someone who’s up to her cage-dancing ways? We’re guessing some bad boy is next. Well, Tiger Woods is single ... .
