Tori Spelling‘s leading man Dean McDermott is in intensive care with a punctured lung after a motorcycle accident, according to People magazine.

‘He’s in a lot of pain,’ Spelling tells the mag. ‘He’s taking this as a sign and realizing family is too important to risk his life.’

Spelling and McDermott are the stars of Oxygen’s ‘Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood.’ They have two kids, 3-year-old Liam and 2-year-old Stella.

‘Thanks for the well wishes. A collapsed lung is no fun, and is a lengthy heal. Feeling pretty bad today. Day 2 is always the worst,’ McDermott tweeted Thursday from the ICU.

McDermott fractured his shoulder earlier this year in another motorcycle accident.

‘He said, ‘I’ll never do this again. You and the kids mean everything to me,’ ‘ Spelling said of confronting her husband about his dangerous hobby.
