Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Lisa Ann Russell have separated after nearly 14 years of marriage, E! Online says, confirming the basics of earlier report by In Touch. Sources close to the couple, however, told E! and People that rumors about Russell’s behavior -- that she’d been spotted out partying -- were untrue.

The ‘Saved by the Bell’ star, whom the Ministry prefers to think of as the guy who could actually act who replaced Rick Schroder on ‘NYPD Blue,’ has a new series on tap -- ‘Franklin & Bash’ was just picked up by TNT. He’ll star in what the Wrap calls a ‘lawyer-buddy series’ with Breckin Meyer.

Also in the cast -- Garcelle Beauvais, who recently filed for divorce from CAA agent Mike Nilon. You might remember her from that discreet little ‘he cheated’ e-mail she looped around to her hubby’s whole office?

But back to the couple at hand: Gosselaar and Russell met when she appeared on a 1993 episode of ‘Saved by the Bell’ and were married in August 1996. They have two children, 6-year-old Michael and 4-year-old Ava.
