Two continents, two parents, all good deeds -- just another day in the lives of David and Victoria Beckham.

The handsome couple spent the weekend apart, as David traveled to Afghanistan to visit British troops and Camp Bastion.

‘It just really is scary work. These guys are the bravest people that I’ve ever met, and it really is ... an honor to be here,’ Beckham told the Daily Telegraph in London.

The English athlete, benched from the World Cup due to a recent injury, signed autographs and played soccer with soldiers. Suited up in camouflage and a protective vest, Beckham was advised not to forget his helmet.

‘Of course,’ Beckham said of the regalia, ‘the wife will be happy.’

Speaking of Victoria, she took her boys to a benefit at MTV skateboard star Rob Dyrdek‘s Fantasy Factory in Los Angeles.

In tow with pal and hairstylist Ken Paves, Victoria helped son Brooklyn personalize his own pair of DC Shoes and took in action-packed activities -- a foam pit, firing a tennis ball gun and go-karts.

The famous family mingled with the likes of Pharrell Williams, fellow Spice Girl Mel B, Topher Grace, Kendall and Kylie Jenner and Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.

Proceeds from a silent auction benefited the Rob Dyrdek Foundation, which works to promote safe skateboarding communities.
