Ryan Phillippe upset his love life is more newsworthy than his career

Ryan Phillippe took to Howard Stern‘s airwaves Monday, saying among other things that he’s tired of the press dumping on him for ‘relationship stuff’ since he and Reese Witherspoon got divorced.

For those joining the story in progress, Witherspoon filed for divorce in 2006, which by our count is approximately four years in the past. Apparently they’re great friends now.

‘I’m tired of [it],’ said the ‘MacGruber’ cast member. ‘I don’t feel like I deserve it. Things happen! How many people have you broken up with over your life?’

He says he’s never again dating ‘anyone who has a publicist,’ after Abbie Cornish‘s people issued a release saying she’d dumped him, even though by his account he had totally dumped her.

Note to Mr. Phillippe: Make your career more interesting than your behavior with women and maybe we’ll shift focus.

And yeesh, man, stop whining.
