The ever-charming Geoge Clooney is an old hand at Golden Globes ceremonies, but he still finds them exciting. ‘It’s fun, it’s nice. You get to see a lot of friends,’ he says. ‘It’s funnier watching them all get wet.’

If he’s a winner tonight, what will he do to celebrate? ‘Well, the same thing if we lose: Drink.’
