J.Lo, lunch lady? Yes, if 'Glee' gets its way -- and if she can walk away from 'Lopez Tonight'

January 18, 2010 |  6:59 pm

Jlo Ryan Murphy said it backstage Sunday at the Golden Globes, and today it was confirmed: "Glee," the winner for best comedy or musical, is trying to lure Jennifer Lopez as a guest star.

“I have a meeting with Jennifer Lopez in a couple weeks,” Murphy said Sunday night. “She wants to come on. We want her to be a cafeteria lady.”

No need to wait to see J.Lo on TV, however -- this very evening she's stepping into George Lopez's shoes in the role of talk-show host.

Hey, the program is called "Lopez Tonight." Nobody said it had to be George -- as J.Lo points out so very, ahem, delicately in her opening monologue.
