The royal lineage should be pleased with Emily Blunt -- when a power outage disrupted festivities at the premiere party for ‘The Young Victoria,’ the actress waited gracefully instead of making heads roll.

Blunt, who plays a conflicted young queen in the biopic, popped into L.A. boutique Clive Christian last Thursday to celebrate the big debut. When a blackout silenced the crowd, onlookers tell me, Blunt cracked jokes until the lights came on.

Imagine if she’d played Queen Elizabeth -- justice doubtless would’ve been swift.

Sipping Perrier-Jouët bubbly, she and costar Rupert Friend chatted and shared iPhone photos, giddy about their respective New Year’s Eve plans (presumably with significant others John Krasinski and Keira Knightley, respectively).

Also in the crowd were a few folks with real ties to the royal family -- Sarah Ferguson and her daughter Princess Beatrice, who has a cameo in the flick.
