Entertainment publicist Ronni Chasen shot to death

Veteran entertainment industry publicist Ronni Chasen was found shot to death early Tuesday morning in Beverly Hills.

Chasen, 64, was killed in her car around 12:30 a.m., according to the office of the Los Angeles County coroner. She had attended a premiere of ‘Burlesque’ earlier in the evening.

Over the course of her career, Chasen’s client list was a virtual Who’s Who of Hollywood, including the late Natalie Wood, composer Hans Zimmer, and move producers Dick Zanuck and Irwin Winkler. Her firm Chasen & Co. represents numerous major movie and television producers and talent. Chasen also handled marketing campaigns for movies including ‘Driving Miss Daisy,’ an Oscar winner.

Police released no details on the shooting, which took place on Sunset Boulevard near Whittier Drive.
