Twitter docudrama. A hacker has stolen hundreds of internal documents from Twitter ranging from the benign -- floor plans -- to the intriguing -- financial projections. Ev Williams, Twitter’s co-founder confirmed the theft and tweeted early this morning that he was having a ‘bad night.’ The Wall Street Journal’s tech queen Kara Swisher tweeted criticisms of a site -- TechCrunch -- that has published some the material. ‘There is a difference between leaked corporate memos by employees and stolen documents,’ she says.
Cash for class. The New York Times has sold its classical music station WQXR-FM New York to public broadcaster WNYC and Univision. The complex $45 million deal will put control of the station under WNYC but WQXR’s strong 96.3 spot on the dial will go to a Univision station with the classical music outet moving to 105.9, a weaker outlet. Signing up for Comcast. CBS and more than a dozen cable networks are going to take part in cable giant Comcast’s broadband offering ‘On Demand Online’ that will require users of the service to prove that they already subscribe to cable TV.
