The Dodgers are on the verge of signing setup man Matt Guerrier to a three-year contract, according to a baseball source who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the deal is pending a physical.

The deal could be announced as early as Thursday.

Guerrier, 32, has spent his entire career to date with the Minnesota Twins, compiling a 3.38 earned-run average over seven major-league seasons. He has appeared in at least 73 games in each of his last four seasons.

Guerrier had a 3.17 ERA in 74 games last season and a 2.36 ERA in a league-leading 79 games in 2009. The right-hander made $3.15 million last season.
