Dodgers assistant GMs Logan White and De Jon Watson candidates for Arizona GM job

September 14, 2010 |  6:46 pm
Two of the Dodgers’ assistant general managers are under consideration for the vacant general manager’s post with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Logan White, the Dodgers’ head of scouting, was interviewed by the Diamondbacks on Tuesday, according to multiple baseball sources who spoke on the condition of anonymity. De Jon Watson, the head of player development, will be interviewed on Wednesday.

White is credited for overseeing the drafts that produced many of the Dodgers’ core players, including Matt Kemp, Clayton Kershaw, Chad Billingsley, Jonathan Broxton, James Loney and Russell Martin. White interviewed for the Houston Astros' general manager position in 2007.

Watson will be interviewing for a general manager’s position for the first time. A former scouting director for the Cincinnati Reds and director of professional scouting for the Cleveland Indians, Watson is in his fourth year with the Dodgers.
