And here they come -- wearing black and everything -- the evil, dastardly, absolutely detestable San Francisco Giants!

Also, the first-place Giants.

This figures as a challenging weekend for the LADs, what with Joe Torre sending out Vicente Padillain Friday’s series opener and the Giants coming back Saturday with that almost unhittable skateboarding stoner, Tim Lincecum.

Yes, the boo-birds figure to be out in force at Dodger Stadium, as usual when a team that collectively is considered just above a slug on the food chain by the locals comes to town.

Boo all you want, jeer, rag any Giant. But as written here before, try to elevate your disapproval and taunting above a 9-year-old.

Can the ‘Giants suck’ chant.

Hey, I get your vehemence. Recognize your right to deride an opponent. Am on board with having fun with it.

Just try to do it without demeaning yourself. Really, it’s embarrassingly juvenile. Not even remotely clever.

It should be below Los Angeles. I realize its use has spread around L.A. and nationally, but bad ideas can be as contagious as good ones.

Be original, be creative, be whatever, just don’t be dumber than a fourth grader. Try starting this weekend.
