Gearing up for 'The Next Iron Chef'

October 29, 2011 | 10:31 am

What's wrong with these guys? Why would any self-respecting professional put himself in a position to be humiliated on national television? Well, a chef's gotta do what a chef's gotta do, says Rene Lynch in a story kicking off this season's version "The Next Iron Chef," which will see such luminaries as Michael Chiarello, Marcus Samuelson and Alex Guarnaschelli going head to head in a series of culinary battles.

"There's a child-like, Disneyland feeling that runs up every chef's spine" at the thought of becoming an Iron Chef, says Guarnaschelli.
