3 Food Events You Should Know About: KCRW and the Beer Chicks at Beer Belly, Bistronomics at Breadbar, JiRaffe tasting menu

Good Food and craft beer: On Thursday, KCRW’s ‘Good Food’ host Evan Kleinman and The Beer Chicks are teaming up to offer a Good Food happy hour at Beer Belly, where patrons will receive Deschutes Brewery pints for $5. This special is only available from 7 to 9 p.m. The bar will be offering Deschutes Brewery’s Black Butte XXIII, Twilight Summer Ale, Inversion IPA, Mirror Pon, and the newly released and limited Conflux #2 (a white IPA). Bristronomics 3.0: Breadbar in Century City is offering the third installation of its Bistronomics series on Monday. Chief gastronomy officer Noriyuki Sugie has invited chefs Jet Tila and Alex Ageneau to create a five-course prix-fixe tasting menu for $65 per person that will celebrate summer in Los Angeles. An open kitchen and interactive chef station will allow diners to engage directly with both chefs. Some dishes include charred heirloom tomato with peaches and saffron, and soft scrambled eggs with summer truffles and cornichon. JiRaffe tasting: JiRaffe restaurant offers a tasting menu on the last Thursday of each month for $28. Diners are given 10 dishes to select from and must select a minimum of four.
