5 Food Events You Should Know About: Udon noodle workshop; pastry demo at Montage; Cecconi’s Sunday supper; WP24's lounge menu; fried chicken at Bouchon

Udon at JANM: The Japanese American Museum will be holding a workshop for students to try their hand at making udon on June 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Instructor Sonoko Sakai suggests that students bring closed-toed shoes, an apron and containers to take home extras. Let us eat cake: On June 29, Montage Beverly Hills executive pastry chef Richard Ruskell will give a demonstration on what he claims is the best chocolate cake -- a blackout cake. A Sunday mealCecconi's in West Hollywood is offering a Sunday supper menu that will feed up to four people for $50 total. These dinners may include pizza, pasta and a salad. You can purchase a house bottle of red or white wine for an extra $25. WP24 lounge menu: At WP24, Wolfgang Puck's modern Chinese restaurant in the Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles, diners in the lounge can taste some of the restaurant's signature dishes this summer through a special three-course menu. Fried chicken:  Thomas Keller's Ad Hoc fried chicken will be returning to Bouchon in Beverly Hills this Monday, June 27, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. The dish will be served with New York cheddar biscuits and gravy, macaroni and cheese and braised collard greens.
