Campanile is the latest restaurant to announce that it’s heading to LAX. Construction of the airport outpost will start this year in Terminal 4, according to an announcement from the landmark La Brea Avenue restaurant and chef owner Mark Peel. An opening date is still to be determined.

Campanile joins others such as possibly a concept from chef Ludo Lefebvre at LAX, whose shops and restaurants are undergoing an overhaul. Some outlets could be open by summer, say airport officials. The Los Angeles City Council last year approved several new concession contracts for terminals 4, 5, 7 and 8.
