Your Mother's Day dining guide [Updated]

Mother's Day is coming up: It's May 8. Here's a look at some restaurants and bakeries offering up Mother's Day specials in and around Los Angeles. Please let us now in the comments section below if we've missed any, and we'll continue to update this list:

The Bistro Garden: From 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., they've designed a special brunch menu for $52 a person, $30 for those under 12. Then, from 6 to 10 p.m. it's dinnertime for $62 a person, $30 for kids. 12950 Ventura Blvd., (818) 501-0202; www.bistrogarden.com

Chaya: Diners can enjoy a three-course prix-fixe brunch for $38 a person. The menus vary from location to location. Beverly Hills: 8741 Alden Drive, (310) 859-8833. Downtown: 525 S. Dominick's: Along with the regular menu, they'll be offering a Brunch Mimosa Special, $12 bottles of sparkling wine and $5 carafes of orange juice, as well as $12 bottles of their Dago Red and Dago White wine. 8715 Beverly Blvd., (310) 652-2335; www.dominicksrestaurant.com

Fig & Olive: Created by Executive Chef Pascal Lorange to honor Owner Laurent Halasz’s mother, Francine, the menu will offer guests a three-course, South of France-inspired brunch for $40 a person, paired with a mimosa, bloody mary or piscine cocktail. 8490 Melrose Place, (310) 360-9100; www.figandolive.com

Iva Lee's: From 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. this spot will start off with "eye openers," drinks such as champagne and wild peach liquor and coffee with Bailey's. They'll follow it up with a two-course brunch. $28 per person. 55 N. El Camino Real, Suite E, San Clemente, (949) 361-2855; www.ivalees.com

La Cachette Bistro: From 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. enjoy a brunch menu where you can choose from tapas, appetizers and salads, eggs, sandwiches and entrees, as well as stuffed French toast and Belgian waffles. 1733 Ocean Ave., Santa Monica, (310) 434-9509; www.lacachettebistro.com

The London West Hollywood: A traditional Mother’s Day brunch, but with Chef Gordon Ramsay’s signature twist for $85 per person, including a three-course a la carte brunch and a free-flow glass of champagne. There's everything from mini-Belgain waffles with caramelized bananas, Chantilly cream and bourbon whiskey syrup, to a Dungeness crab and black brioche. 1020 N. Magnolia Bakery: New cupcakes just for Mother's Day include classic vanilla buttercream rolled in sanding sugar and nonpariels and feature edible images of a lovely assortment of vintage moms busy baking love into every bite. 8389 West 3rd St., (323) 951-0636; www.magnoliabakery.com

Michael's: Michael McCarty is opening the doors early for brunch to serve a Mother’s Day menu on the outdoor patio. Also, in-house mixologist and creator of Michael’s new farm-to-glass mixology program, Jason Robey, has created a special “secret sangria” using fresh fruits and herbs from Michael’s rooftop garden. $65 adults, $30 for children 10 and under. 1147 3rd St., Santa Monica, (310) 451-0843; www.michaelssantamonica.com

M Street Kitchen: From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., they'll be serving up brunch. You can choose from huevos rancheros, apple pancakes, fresh squeezed OJ, and more. Ocean & Vine: The restaurant at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel is offering brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and dinner from 5 to 9 p.m. The former is $74 for adults, $37 for children, and includes made-to-order omelets, eggs benedict, smashed potatoes, a raw bar and more. The Peninsula Beverly Hills: Serving up a three-course Mother’s Day menu featuring truffled-chive gnocchi with peas, Parmigiano Reggiano and white truffle oil emulsion and grilled striped bass fillet with tomato fondue, fava beans and leaves. Ray's and Stark Bar: From 11 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., families can celebrate with a three-course meal in the dining room or enjoy brunch on the outdoor patio overlooking LACMA’s famed Urban Light installation. Chef Kris Morningstar will be cooking up Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. $39 a person, $22 for children under 12. 5905 Wilshire Blvd., (323) 857-6180; www.raysandstarkbar.com.

Renaissance Hotels: Participating locations will open the kitchen to kids this Mother’s Day with their second annual “Mother’s Day Pancake Play Date” breakfast and brunch special. Kids can try to create the ultimate custom pancake while moms sit back and enjoy jazz music by KJAZZ (FM-88.1). There will also be a chef's station with healthy choices. www.renaissancehotels.com

RockSugar Pan Asian Kitchen: On Saturday, May 7, and Sunday, May 8, RockSugar Pan Asian Kitchen will offer a five-course menu for parties of two or more. Susan Feniger's Street: A tasting menu featuring fresh spring pea soup, squash blossom and garden squash empanadas, a Dungeness crab BLT, Japanese chicken Tsukune meatballs, a Tunisian mushroom pastry and an old English trifle can be purchased for $40, or any of the dishes a la carte. 742 North Highland Ave., (323) 203-0500; www.eatatstreet.com
