You won’t get rippling, six-pack abs stuffing yourself on ice cream and frozen yogurt (sadly, even the nonfat stuff is loaded with sugar), but that hasn’t stopped a steady trickle of sweets lovers from heading to Millions of Milkshakes. Recently opened in the heart of West Hollywood’s Boystown, the shop makes only one flavor (at least so far), vanilla, but it comes in three varieties (regular full-fat ice cream; nonfat frozen yogurt; and non-dairy soy ice cream), any of which can be improved upon with more than 100 toppings and mix-ins. Options include candy bars (all the American classics plus Lindt truffles, Ferrero Rocher chocolates and British candy bars Aero and Flake), cereals, fruit, nuts, powders, syrups and more, making the titular promise of the store seem entirely possible. (Any mathematicians care to confirm that?)

Started by British entrepreneur Sheeraz Hasan, who founded a mini-chain of 24-hour, American-style diners in London and then launched Hollywood infotainment site Hollywood.TV, Millions of Milkshakes stays open until 2 a.m. every day. But for roiling clubgoers looking to take the edge off that last Miller Lite, that may not be late enough. The shop is appealing to the city to extend its hours until 3 a.m.; the WeHo City Council will take up the issue at its meeting on Oct. 14 at 5 p.m.

In the meantime, perhaps Kim Kardashian will continue to add to the junk in her already impressive trunk with another trip to the milkshake merchant. She can afford it. The standard milkshake or sundae costs $4.95 for a regular and $5.95 for a large and comes with one topping. Additional toppings are 95 cents, which makes it all too easy to quickly rack up a $7 milkshake.

Just a thought: Kelis ought to get a cut of those profits.
