AIA/LA announces Restaurant Design Award winners

The American Institute of Architects/Los Angeles announced the winners of its 2008 Restaurant Design Awards. Design firm Tag Front was behind two of the winners (and another of the finalists). The honorees are:

The other finalists in that category were: Comme Ça, designed by KAA Design Group; Katsuya Glendale, designed by Starck Network/DesignARC; Luckyfish, designed by Tag Front; Osteria Mozza, designed by Kelly Architects; and R+D Kitchen, designed by stenforS/Associates and Hillstone Restaurant Group.

Cafe/Bar, winner: LA Mill, designed by Formation Assn. and Rubbish Interiors (below).

Other finalists in this category: FOOD, designed by Fleetwood Fernandez Architecture; Kitchen 24, designed by Spacecraft/Torres Architects; and Monsieur Marcel, designed by New Theme.

Lounge/Nightclub, winner: Elevate Lounge, by Tag Front (not pictured).

The other finalist: Oneworld Lounge at LAX, designed by Gensler.
