Darren Criss will provide a good measure of star power when San Francisco’s American Conservatory Theatre throws its annual season gala in April.

Criss -- who is a regular on Fox’s ‘Glee’ and was briefly the leading man of Broadway’s ‘How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying’ -- will be one of a handful of ACT alumni who will appear at the fundraising event. Others scheduled to attend are Tony-winner Bill Irwin and theater actress Betsy Wolfe.

ACT said that Criss will perform at the gala in an original musical production titled ‘Tales of ACT,’ co-starring Irwin and Wolfe as well as other past and current students.

The gala is scheduled for April 15 at the the Regency Center in San Francisco.

Criss is an alumnus of the school’s Young Conservatory program. Irwin is slated to appear in the company’s double-bill production of Samuel Beckett’s ‘Endgame’ and ‘Play’ from May 9 to June 3.
